Nathalie Willmott

Living The Dream Permaculture

Nathalie graduated from her 147 hour PDC through Pete the Permie mid 2020 covering Permaculture Design and Permaculture Applied Practical Skills. She has been pottering in the garden since she was a child, but her passion for living self sufficiently began on on her honeymoon 13 years ago when she visited her husbands friends farm and saw what they were doing on their own self sufficient homestead. It was here that she first learned of the atrocities of industrialized agriculture and the beauty of heirloom seeds. For 10 years Nathalie and her family dreamed of moving to a farm where they would have the space to be self sufficient, but in the mean time grew all that they could in their suburban backyard. In mid 2018 her families dream came true and they were to move to a 54 acre farm in West Gippsland, Victoria, Australia where they quickly started setting up the infrastructure they would need to start living off the land. At the beginning of spring in 2019 Nathalie decided that the quickest way to become self sufficient was to challenge her family to a year of eating only what they could grow, forage for, barter for and purchase pantry staples with the funds they make from selling their excess produce. It was through this journey that they learned the true meaning of what it takes to become fully self reliant. In this course I'll teach you all the lesson I've learnt after living off what I could grow, forage locally, barter for and purchase pantry staples with the funds I made from selling my excess produce.

Plant Gardens

And Eat What They Produce

Jerimiah 29:4-8 4 This is what the Lord Almighty, the God of Israel, says to all those I carried into exile from Jerusalem to Babylon: 5 “Build houses and settle down; plant gardens and eat what they produce. 6 Marry and have sons and daughters; find wives for your sons and give your daughters in marriage, so that they too may have sons and daughters. Increase in number there; do not decrease. 7 Also, seek the peace and prosperity of the city to which I have carried you into exile. Pray to the Lord for it, because if it prospers, you too will prosper.”
